What should you know about me? I watch a lot of movies, read a lot of books, enjoy taking pictures, doing crafts, and I love cuddling with my (furry) pets. I have been known to binge-watch TV shows since cutting the cord known as cable. I’m sort of like an old woman, which I’m totally cool with. I’m married to a guy named Ross — he’s pretty darn awesome. My retirement dream is to live on a farm and rescue animals in need. And I really, REALLY love cats. So much so that in January 2016 I started a blog called Three Chatty Cats – with the goal to bring attention to great cat rescue groups and their life-saving efforts. If you’re a cat lover, you should go check it out. But with the focus of that blog solely on cats, I wanted a space to blog about random everyday things (again). I had started this original blog in 2010 and had it for several years before it died a slow death in 2015 (don’t worry, it wasn’t painful). So here I am – back in the blogging world after a brief hiatus. I can’t guarantee that a cat post won’t pop up on this blog every so often (you have been warned). That’s about it for now. Thanks for stopping by and happy reading.

  1. Hi Rachel. Your comments above made me smile. I just retired, we live on a farm, and this week when I told my husband I’d like to take in rescue pets, he, shall we say, was just this side of enthusiastic. :) I am a cat lover as well. In January I rescued a 3 year old male cat whom we named Gandalf; he’s all gray and a beautiful cat. Such fabulous creatures. Nice site, btw. :)
